Session 2: 15 Reasons Simplified Acquisitions Should be in Small Business Pipeline

If you’re doing business with the Federal Government (or trying to) you should consider these streamlined purchases that account for billions in goods and services.  A Simplified Acquisition is a purchase conducted by a federal agency under FAR Part 13 that leverages streamlined rules meant to lessen the administrative burden on Government and Industry when it comes to procurement activities.  Using this method, more than 60 federal agencies, boards and commissions at locations around the country (and the world) obligate billions each year to purchase of a variety of goods and services, primarily from small business concerns.

Facilitator:  Guy Timberlake, Chief Visionary Officer, The American Small Business Coalition

Session 3: Doing Business with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

This workshop will provide business owners with marketing ideas and concepts to ensure that you maximize your time and efforts, not only to the Missile Defense Agency, but to other DoD Agencies as well.  The facilitator will discuss upcoming opportunities with MDA from a prime and sub contract level and other marketing opportunities within the Department of Defense.

Facilitator:  Mr. Lee Rosenberg, Director for Small Business Programs for the Missile Defense Agency

Session 4: Best Practices in Business Capture

What does it take for a small business owner to win a government contract?  Our experts will discuss the best strategies and processes for companies to bid and win contracting opportunities.  Navigating the procurement space has always been a challenge for a small business owner with limited time and resources.  This workshop will give the needed answers to maximize the available time and efforts of the business owner and their staff.  Attendees will hear from procurement experts concerning small business contracting trends and best practices in the current business climate.
